Receiving a carepack for Christmas
Only residents who live full time in a Nursing Home or Care Home can receive a carepack. The home must be a registered 24 hour residential care home and only the Person-In-Charge (PIC) or Manager can sign residents up to receive carepacks. Family members cannot sign-up individual residents.
Registration has not yet opened for 2025 – over 27,000 residents were assigned in 2025.

Q. I represent a Nursing Home / Care Home, how do we sign up our residents to receive gifts?
A. Registration is required every year. Each year is independent. Care Home managers must sign up every year. Registration has not yet opened for 2025.
Q. Is it only Residential Care Homes in the Republic of Ireland that can partake?
A. No, carehomes in Northern Ireland are welcome to partake, however as Northern Ireland is outside of An Post’s remit, post will not be free.
