Care Home managers were emailed and informed about this years campaign by email and the closing date was November 1st (which we extended until November 6th). We are now at capacity – thank you for your interest. carepack 2026 will open in October 2026.
Receiving a carepack for Christmas
Only residents who live full time in a Nursing Home or Care Home can receive a carepack. The home must be a registered 24 hour residential care home and only the Person-In-Charge (PIC) or Manager can sign residents up to receive carepacks. Family members cannot sign-up individual residents.

A. Registration is required every year. Each year is independent. Care Home managers must sign up every year. Registration has closed for 2025 – 26,500 residents were matched and over 24,000 students and young people will also send cards & drawings
Q. Is it only Residential Care Homes in the Republic of Ireland that can partake?
A. No, carehomes in Northern Ireland are welcome to partake, however as Northern Ireland is outside of An Post’s remit, post will not be free.
