It is intended for children and students who would like to send cards, letters or artwork with their school, Pre-school, Foróige, Scouting or other Youth Group. Please read description below fully.

THIS SECTION IS FOR TEACHERS AND YOUTH GROUP LEADERS ONLY – it applies to young people who would like to send a card, letter or drawing instead of a gift (carepack)
Once this process is complete – your resident details will be emailed to you – PLEASE immediately search for this email and SAVE it or write it down. The information may end up in SPAM/JUNK where it will auto-delete. We cannot retrieve lost emails so take extra vigilance at the time of ordering to avoid this issue and keep your resident’s information safe.
Directions to send letters, etc. to residents in a nursing home or care home in county Mayo.
Qty 1 = 1 resident, i.e. if you require 26 residents then enter 26 as the quantity. There is a maximum of 60 per order for schools, scouts and youth groups, but you are free to order again if you require more than 60. You are assigned per county, and cannot be assigned a specific home. Residents are assigned randomly and you may end up receiving residents in several different homes – we cannot swap residents.
- Choose how many residents you would like to send a card, letter, or drawing to for Christmas (up to a maximum of 60 can be ordered at a time – you may reorder for more than 60)
- Complete the shopping cart process to be issued the resident details – there is no cost for using this service.
- Enter your email address correctly – please verify and re-verify that your email address has no errors.
- Check your email immediately – WRITE DOWN the gender (or name if supplied) and address/es you are assigned as they appear – this information CANNOT be retrieved at a later time.
- carepack.ie just supplies the resident details that you will send a card / letter / drawing to – we do not supply packaging.
- Groups cards etc may be packaged together – teachers / leaders may include their own contact details – it is not recommended to write the child’s home address.
- Write FREEPOST where a stamp should go and post free (<1kg) at your local An Post office. You may also hand-deliver to the care home reception. You will not meet the resident.
If a county shows up Unavailable / Out of Stock it means all residents are already matched up, this will fluctuate as residents sign-up and are assigned. Please refer to our FAQ or our social media for the most up-to-date information on additional residents being added.
